Giovanni Trimble is a multidisciplinary artist, Fashion Designer, and Artistic Director working under the name Haus of Closure, a practice rooted in material intelligence, care, and transformation. Approaching garment making from a sculptural perspective, Trimble listens to what each material wants to become, allowing form and structure to emerge through the process. They completed Foundation Studies in Fine Art at Pratt Institute, earned a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, an MA in Counseling and Art Therapy from Adler University, and a PhD in Human Sexuality from the California Institute of Integral Studies. Their work spans wearable art, performance art, video art, textiles, light metals, sculpture, printmaking, illustration, and painting. Currently, they are designing and creating avant-garde fashion couture for queer communities.
